Abby Newbold is an institutional advancement officer at CGD. She is a graduate of American University here in Washington DC, graduating with a BA in International Studies and a BA in Environmental Studies. She has previous experience in both the international relations and environmental science fields, working at internships in Washington, DC and in her native San Francisco, California. Newbold spent much of her college career focusing on the intersection of international relations and environmental policy, and while studying abroad was able to work on an electricity project in rural Kenya. She is excited about the learning opportunities that CGD has to offer and looks forward to everything she can learn as part of the Institutional Advancement team.
