As evidence mounts regarding the scale of benefits from empowering women as entrepreneurs, managers, workers, and consumers, many development finance institutions (DFIs) are increasing their focus on gender equity in their investment strategies and internal administration. With the first ever Gender Equity in Development Finance Survey, the Center for Global Development examines how these institutions are investing with a gender lens and where they should go from here. Survey results show positive news on increased gender focus but room for improvement on measuring and publishing the impact for women and girls. Join us for an online presentation and critique of the survey’s first round of results and recommendations and a panel discussion with the leaders of top-performing DFIs.
