Sasha Gallant has spent her career at the intersection of bold ideas and rigorous evidence. Sasha is the former Managing Director of Development Innovation Ventures (DIV), the U.S. Agency for International Development's evidence-based innovation fund, where she guided investments to test and scale breakthrough solutions to a broad range of global development challenges. She is also a founding member of Project Resource Optimization, an initiative established in 2025 that directs philanthropic support toward the highest-impact, most cost-effective aid programs at risk due to global budget cuts. In previous roles, Sasha supported the work of a range of data-driven implementers, researchers, and funders in global development, including serving as the Managing Director of USAID's Innovation Division, and helping launch national-level development innovation funds in Europe and the US. Sasha is also a former public school educator. She holds a BA from Goucher College and an MPP from Georgetown University.
