Job Opening: Research Assistant working with CGD President Nancy Birdsall/Senior Research Fellow

CGD is seeking a research assistant to work with CGD president Nancy Birdsall and another senior fellow providing qualitative and quantitative research assistance in September or sooner.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Master’s degree in economics or development economics. Excellent candidates with a bachelor’s degree in economics and relevant work experience will also be considered. Training in econometrics, microeconomic theory, macroeconomic theory and development economics required. Research experience compiling data, conducting econometric and other quantitative analyses, and providing writing and editing support for papers, articles, and presentations. Proven capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize accordingly. Ability to work independently and with small groups.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Excellent writing skills required. Proficient in STATA and Excel. Knowledge of international development and economic issues required. Familiarity with international financial institutions, inequality, and globalization is a plus.

Salary:
Mid $30’s, commensurate with experience.
