The Long Tail of Global Health Equity: Tackling the Endemic Noncommunicable Diseases of the Bottom Billion

This two-day conference sponsored by Partners in Health and the Harvard School of Public Health will bring together global health experts with experts in non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in the world’s poorest countries. Participants will prepare recommendations for the September 2011 UN high-level assembly meeting on NCDs. Conference presenters include Rachel Nugent, CGD deputy director of global health, who will discuss global governance and financing for NCDs (afternoon, March 3).
