Expanding Labor Market Access for Refugees and Forced Migrants

This Zoom workshop is co-hosted by the Center for Global Development, Refugees International, and the East African Centre for Forced Migration & Displacement. 

The #LetThemWork Initiative Global Private Sector Workshop has been organized as a platform for experts from governments, academia, the non-profit sector, and the private sector to discuss policy solutions that promote economic inclusion for refugees and forcibly displaced persons. The workshop will also create a platform for discussion on evidence-based labor market access (LMA) solutions that seek to secure commitments and pledges towards expanding LMA to refugees and forced migrants. The discussion will focus on increasing migrants’ access to work, obtaining work and business permits, the accreditation of skills and qualifications, and reducing barriers to LMA.
