Please join CGD’s Executive Vice President, Amanda Glassman, in conversation with UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director, Grete Faremo. UNOPS provide infrastructure and procurement services to partners to run peace and security, humanitarian, anddevelopment operations across more than 80 countries. The majority of UNOPS delivery takes place in fragile and conflict affected states.
Faremo will discuss how UNOPS works with countries and its role in the UN system, how infrastructure can contribute to the advancement of women, how effective public procurement is key to achieving the SDGs, and the organization’s future direction.
