On June 23 the Center for Global Development and the Asian Development Bank hosted an event titled, "Asia and China: Growing Together?" Mr. Haruhiko Kuroda, president of the Asian Development Bank, was the featured speaker. Mr. Kuroda became the Asian Development Bank's eighth President on February 1, 2005. The event marked his first public speech in Washington D.C. since taking the office of President.
