Independent research for global prosperity


Dina Pomeranz is a non-resident follow at the Center for Global Development and an assistant professor at the Harvard Business School. Her research focuses on public economics in developing countries and includes collaborations with tax authorities and procurement agencies in several countries. Her research has been published in journals such as the American Economic Review and the Tax Administration Review and has been featured in media outlets including CNN, Bloomberg News and The Wall Street Journal.

Dina Pomeranz is a faculty research fellow at the NBER, an affiliate professor at BREAD, CEPR, and J-PAL and a member of the IGC and the HBS Social Enterprise Initiative. Before joining the Harvard Business School, she served as a post-doctoral fellow at MIT’s Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL). She received her PhD in Economics from Harvard University and her BA and MA in international relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.

Besides her academic interests, she serves on the board or advisory board of a number of social enterprise ventures committed to translating research into practice. More information about her work can be found here.
