Atousa Tahmasebi is a research assistant (Concessional Finance and Climate Change) working alongside Mark Plant in the SDF programme and Ian Mitchell in the UK/ Europe programme. Prior to joining CGD, she worked as an economic research consultant with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa, engaging with Central Banks and Ministries in the region. Her research included country-specific macroeconomic outlooks, energy, and fintech. She also has experience working as a consultant at Oil & Gas companies in the Middle East. She holds an MSc in Economics from University College London and a BSc in Politics, Philosophy & Economics from Warwick University.
