Aimee Segal is director of Communications at the Center for Global Development. She leads the team developing strategy, content and engagement opportunities to elevate the Center’s leadership delivering research and ideas for reducing global poverty and inequality.
Before joining CGD, Aimee served as the director of Strategic Initiatives and Programming at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, where she developed integrated marketing campaigns and targeted partnerships to connect global audiences with digital and live education programming series, Memorial and Commemorative ceremonies, and leadership events.
As a senior vice president at GMMB, a Washington, DC-based advertising and public affairs agency, Aimee managed national and global campaigns for a range of organizations focusing on global health and development, women’s advancement, social innovation and impact philanthropy, U.S. education policy, and civic engagement and national service.
Aimee began her career in journalism in Boston, Massachusetts, and she holds a BS in Journalism and East Asian Studies from Boston University. She volunteers with Meals on Wheels and is an active member and the President-elect of Congregation Har Shalom in Potomac, Maryland.
