In this session, the Global Fund and the World Bank join together to discuss their strategies and policies to improve the allocative and technical efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of their HIV/AIDS responses. The session will highlight how the World Bank and the Global Fund are increasingly partnering to maximize joint impact with scarce resources in an era of economic austerity. The session will examine strategies to achieve better results for the money, to buy better health outcomes for each dollar. It will also examine strategies to assist countries to strengthen ownership and build broad based sustainable AIDS responses.
