Our March Meetup was a sneak preview of a terrific one-hour documentary, "The Price of Cotton," one in the six-part series A Dollar a Day by EMF Films. This episode, which focuses on international demand for fair access to markets, features small farmers in Mali and the impact of global prices and organizations such as the WTO on their lives, and on second-generation cotton farmers in Texas, who rely on government subsidies and are worried that they will be curtailed. An informal discussion followed.
