The Girl in the Café

The Center for Global Development, the Council on Foreign Relations and HBO Films presented the premiere of "The Girl in the Café." By screenwriter Richard Curtis (“Love Actually,” “Four Weddings and a Funeral”), the film faces perhaps the most important issue of 2005: Will this be the year when world powers seriously address the issue of world poverty once and for all? 

Jeff Greenfield, Senior Analyst and Contributor, CNN  and Fareed Zakaria, Editor of Newsweek International offered commentary after the screening.
