Fourth Annual Richard H. Sabot Lecture

The fourth annual Richard H. Sabot Lecture was held on Thursday, June 11, 2009, in memory of Dick Sabot, a friend, co-author, and founding member of CGD's board of directors. We were honored to have Kemal Dervis, Vice President and Director for Global Economy and Development at the Brookings Institution, deliver this year's lecture, entitled "Precautionary Resources and Development Finance: The Financial Role of the Bretton-Woods Institutions after the Crisis."

CGD vice president of communications and policy outreach, Lawrence MacDonald, delivered introductory remarks. CGD president Nancy Birdsall chaired the discussion and moderated the Q&A session.
