For our Development Matters September Meetup, we are partnering with the Young Professionals in Foreign Policy on Friday, September 24th for a reception and performance at the Shakespeare Theatre Company. The Great Game: Afghanistan is a three-part theatrical event exploring the culture and history of Afghanistan since Western involvement in 1842 to the present day.
This event will feature a reception in the Mezzanine Lobby of Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street, NW, Washington, DC) from 6:00-7:00pm, followed by a performance of the final of three plays, Enduring Freedom, which follows the events in northern Afghanistan preceding 9/11, the overthrow of Taliban and the current war against the insurgents. The performance will begin at 7:30pm.
