ABOUT THE EVENT

It is hard to imagine a more auspicious beginning for the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). Launched just four and a half years ago, the multilateral development bank (MDB) has grown to 102 country members. But as it approaches its fifth anniversary and considers a second term for its president, it is a good time to take stock of the bank.

How has the AIIB used its “honeymoon period” to grow as a development institution? And how is it responding to a global crisis that is challenging all MDBs to stretch their capacity? Looking beyond this crisis, what should we be looking for from the AIIB during its next five years?

To help us answer these questions, this event will feature senior leadership from AIIB as well as a panel of experts on the institution.
