Running for Director General

Check out The Scientist for an analysis of the nomination and selection process for the next Director General of the World Health Organization following J.W. Lee's untimely death earlier this year, as well as TIME's profile of the newest contender, Margaret Chan from China, whose nomination was announced yesterday. So far, the other official candidates include: Kazem Behbehani (Kuwait), Julio Frenk (Mexico), Shigeru Omi (Japan), Peter Piot (Belgium), and Pekka Puska (Finland). But do they all have what it takes to lead the WHO?
