Pfizer Under Fire for Nigerian Clinical Trials

Drawing an unfortunate parallel to the Constant Gardener, Pfizer has recently come under fire for possible ethical violations in 1996 tests of its antibiotic Trovan on children with meningitis, based on a classified government document that was leaked to the Washington Post: Panel Faults Pfizer in ‘96 Clinical Trial In Nigeria, Unapproved Drug Tested on Children.
