Call for coordination among global health nonprofits

The Philadelphia Inquirer ran an interesting op-ed by Roberta Snow on the need for greater accountability and coordination among the wide array of new nonprofit organizations involved in global health activities. She concludes that:

In the best of all possible worlds, all groups would work from a coherent global strategy with clear public-health goals. The first step would be a summit of key institutions - government, commercial, and nonprofit - to survey the global health landscape, set priorities, and establish a coordinated agenda to put resources where they will do the most good.
