Research on Improving Systems of Education

RISE Launch Conference

This two-day conference provided an opportunity to exchange ideas with some of the world's leading education researchers about how to improve learning levels in the developing world.

RISE –Research on Improving Systems of Education– is a new, multi-year program to build understanding of the design and implementation of successful education reforms through rigorous, primary research spanning multiple developing countries.

Conference speakers include RISE Research Director Lant Pritchett, Felipe Barrera-Osorio, Vicky Colbert, Jishnu Das, Annie Duflo, James Habyarimana, Kara Hanson, Elizabeth King, Michael Kremer, Karthik Muralidharan, Derek Neal, Pauline Rose, Norbert Schady, and Leonard Wantchekon.

Please see the agenda for the two-day schedule.

On June 18 from 12:15 - 2:00 p.m., in conjunction with the conference, there will also be a pre-solicitation meeting for potential RISE bidders, including a Q&A with Lant Pritchett about the project’s upcoming call for proposals. To attend the pre-solicitation meeting, RSVP to rise@cgdev.org
