Job Opportunity: Web Technology Specialist

The Center for Global Development, an independent, non-partisan research organization in Washington, DC, seeks a creative, focused and flexible Web Technology Specialist to provide leadership for continued rapid innovation in CGD’s online engagement in support the Center’s mission. The Web Technology Specialist will be responsible for enhancing and developing CGD’s web presence, on our platform and elsewhere, and for tracking and increasing our influence. The Web Technology Specialist reports to the Vice President Communications and Policy Outreach, works closely with a small team of communications professionals and interacts frequently with the Center’s senior staff to support their efforts to increase the real-world impact of their research and policy work.

Skills:

3-5 years of professional experience required. Experience in a Web-based new media organization a plus. Interest in global development policy and/or experience living or traveling in developing countries a strong plus.

Please submit examples of work (web links) showcasing your ability to conceptualize and bring Adobe Flash, Adobe Flex technologies or other Rich Internet Applications (RIA) to fruition. When submitting examples from a project involving a team of developers and strategists please explain your responsibilities and contributions.
